Welcome Crusader Families to the 2026–2027 School Year!
As we begin another exciting school year, I extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to all of our
Crusader families. Whether you are returning to All Saints’ Episcopal Day School or joining our community for the very first time, we are delighted that you are here. Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education and faith formation. Together, we will continue to build a community where students are challenged to achieve academic excellence and develop into compassionate servant leaders.
Each new school year offers a fresh opportunity to grow, discover, and accomplish great things.
Throughout the summer, our teachers and staff have been preparing classrooms, refining curriculum, participating in professional learning, and planning meaningful experiences that will engage and inspire every student. We begin this year energized by the possibilities ahead and committed to partnering with you to help every child thrive academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally.
This year, we are excited to welcome 45 new students to the All Saints’ family, continuing the steady growth of our school community. We are also pleased to welcome seven new faculty and staff members, each bringing unique talents, experience, and enthusiasm to our mission. Among
these outstanding additions is Mrs. Melissa Cruz, who joins us as our new Guidance Counselor.
Mrs. Cruz brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to supporting the academic,
social, emotional, and spiritual well-being of our students. Her office will be located in the
Nielson Building, which also received a light summer makeover to create an even more welcoming and functional space for students and families. Her addition further strengthens the support services available at All Saints’ and reflects our ongoing commitment to nurturing the
whole child.
This summer marked another season of exciting growth and investment across our campus. We are proud to unveil three new pickleball courts, providing additional opportunities for physical education, recreation, and community engagement. Our main playground has been completely transformed with beautiful new turf, creating a safer, more inviting space for students to learn
and play. We also added new playground swings, installed a permanent sand volleyball court, and enhanced our turf soccer field with elevated soccer nets. These improvements, along with the updates throughout campus, reflect our commitment to providing exceptional learning and recreational environments that enrich the daily experience of every Crusader.
The improvements continue beyond the start of school. We are eagerly anticipating the groundbreaking of our new covered rear walkway, which is now in production. Construction is expected to begin very soon and should take approximately two weeks to complete. This addition will provide greater comfort and convenience for our students, families, and staff while enhancing the overall functionality and accessibility of our campus.
Before welcoming students back, our faculty and staff will spend five days together in professional development, collaboration, and preparation. These days allow our team to focus on instructional excellence, student safety, curriculum planning, and strengthening the relationships that make All Saints’ such a special place. I am continually inspired by the dedication of our faculty and staff, whose commitment and enthusiasm ensure that every school year begins with purpose and excellence.
As we look ahead, I am excited for the countless moments that will define this school year—from academic achievements and athletic victories to faith-filled celebrations, artistic performances, and lifelong friendships. The success of our students is made possible through the strong partnership between home and school, and I am grateful for the trust you place in us each day. Together, we will continue to inspire our students to grow in wisdom, character, and faith while creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Once again, welcome—and a special Crusader welcome to our new families! We look forward to seeing everyone at Meet the Teacher Night on Monday, August 10, from 5:00–6:00 PM, as we kick off another exciting school year together. The first day of school is Wednesday, August 12, and we cannot wait to welcome our Crusaders back to campus.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact my office. We are always happy to assist you.
Go Crusaders!
Sincerely,
M. Evan Powell
