GIRL’S TENNIS

We are blessed to have an outstanding girl’s tennis team. The team had an undefeated season in the fall of 2019 led by Head Coach Brandis Swink. Any 3rd-6th grade girls with previous court experience may join the team to help carry on the winning tradition. Practice times will vary based upon the coach’s availability and tennis facility availability. There will be some longer travel times for the away matches based upon the teams that we play against. Home matches are held at the Eddie Floyd Tennis Center in the fall right after school.

BOYS’ TENNIS

We are continuing to build up our boys’ tennis team. Any 3rd-6th grade boys with previous court experience may join the team. Practice times will vary based upon the coach’s availability and tennis facility availability. There will be some longer travel times for the away matches based upon the teams that we play against. Home matches are held at the Eddie Floyd Tennis Center in the spring right after school.

Volleyball

Our volleyball team is co-ed and 4th-6th graders are eligible to try-out for the team. Matches are played in the fall in the multi-purpose building right after school. Away matches are played against other local independent schools - 30 minute maximum travel time. Prior playing experience is not required. Practice times will vary based upon the coach’s availability. Head Coach Lauren Reames is looking forward to another successful season.

Soccer

The school will have some different options for soccer this year in hopes of making our teams more competitive against other local independent schools.

In the fall, we will offer a team/s for the 2nd-3rd graders and a team for the 4th-6th graders. Any 2nd-3rd grade students may participate provided they have had at least one year of prior experience at our school or other organization. The number of registrations will determine the number of teams (maximum 2) we will have.

The 4th-6th grade team will become a more competitive experience in which our students will need to try-out for the team. This team will also play in the fall against other local independent schools.

The fall soccer team/s will play games right after school. Away games versus other independent schools will require a less than 30 minute travel time. Practice times will vary based upon the coach’s availability and field availability.

Soccer for our 1st graders will be offered in the spring. This will provide the students some time to mature and grow before stepping onto the field. Games will be played on the front lawn in a smaller team format and a smaller field size. Any 1st grade student may participate but previous playing experience is encouraged.

Basketball

Our co-ed basketball team consists of 4th-6th graders. The school will offer one team of about 15 players. Any students with prior playing experience interested in trying out for the team will do so in late fall. Games will begin in January. Practice times will vary based upon the coach’s and facility availability. Games will be played after school in the multi-purpose building. Away games versus other independent schools will require a maximum 30 minute travel time. Head Coach Chris Scott led our 2020 green team to a 2nd place finish in the tournament and we hope to have much success again in the upcoming seasons.

INTRAMURAL VOLLEYBALL AND BASKETBALL

Coach Lauren Reames will offer intramural volleyball after school to 3rd-5th graders in the spring once basketball season has ended. Sessions are generally one day a week for about 6 weeks. No prior experience is required.
